How to get a green corona sertificate in order to enter Riddu Riđđu Festivála.

The children's festival runs from Monday July 12th to Wednesday July 14th, with a program that is full of exciting activities for children of all ages.

We are still waiting for more details on how the corona certificate will work in practice for organizers, and we are promised an answer this Friday. We will thus be able to provide you with more info next week.

Riddu Riđđu 2021 will be different this year, but as always with a focus on high-quality Sami art in a safe environment. To manage infection control, the family and festival camps are cancelled, and audience capacity is limited to 500.

On Friday 7 May Riddu Riđđu Festivála is launching its 30th anniversary with a kick-off celebration at Storgata Camping in Tromsø. From 5pm, come get a taste of this year's program and festival menu, and find out more about this year’s artists and events.

On Saturday 24 April, Riddu Riđđu Festivála AS held its annual general meeting and re-elected Bente Ovedie Skogvang as chair for the 2021 – 2023 period. Maria Løkvoll was also elected as a new board member.

Felgen Orkester are coming to Riddu Riđđu this summer. They will replace A Tribe Called Red after the group had to postpone their concert.

Riddu Sessions is a talent program created in 2016 as a continuation of Riddu Riđđu's annual Young Artist of the Year appointment.

Riddu Riđđu's Young Artists of the Year 2021 are dancers Biret Haarla and Gáddjá Haarla from Dálvadas in Tanadalen. They are 21 years old and study dance at P.A.R.T.S. (Performing Arts Research and Training Studios) in Brüssel.

In 2019, Emil Kárlsen was named Young Artist of the Year by Riddu Riđđu Festivála and was subsequently included in Riddu Sessions, the festival's own program for young Sámi artists.

In December of last year, Riddu Riđđu surprised its audience with two artist releases for 2021's festival program. The latest additions to Riddu Riđđu's upcoming lineup is Katarina Barruk and Gájanas - both Sami acts, representing different musical genres.

Ailu Valle and Amoc reunite with live band Trio Boogiemen for a powerful rap and heavy rock concert at the Riddu Riđđu festival in 2021. The artists will soon release a brand new album following collaboration with superproducers Uyarakq and Juan Muteniac.

The Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs grants Riddu Riđđu 1 million NOK a year over the next three years to create an international delegate program. The news were recently announced in the High North white papers, published by the Norwegian Government.
