Children's performance: Luohteárdna
Have you heard the yoik’s treasures? Have you seen how it shines and the stories it creates?
Luohteárdna is a performance that brings together a drummer and a tape player. Inside the tape player are treasures of yoiks, that possess a power that creates stories, images and animations. These take us on a journey through landscapes, seasons, and encounters with animals and people. On the journey we meet the calf, the doe and the herd. We run away from the wolves, meet the bear, and hear the yoiks of the places we visit along the way.
All this is communicated with Jakop Janssønn alone on stage, accompanied by surround sound images, illustrations by Inga-Wiktoria Påve, as well as video design and animations.
The performance is specifically aimed at Sami children but is open to everyone.
Performance length: approx. 30 minutes.
