Illunnata Silami/All of us in the world (Canada)

Explore how climate change affects Inuit living in urban centres, how it (climate change) keeps them away from their home up north and cultural traditions, and what are they doing to maintain Inuit identity, that is deeply attached to having a relationship with the land while living in urban centres.

Director: Isaac Partridge

A Culinary tale of Greenlands Changing Climate (Kalaallit Nunaat)

The film is about a hunter and a climate specialist talking about the changing climate in Greenland, the importance of its impact, how it affects hunting in Greenland, and what stands to be lost due to the changing climate. Later on, there’s a brief introduction to the importance of Greenlandic food with serving.

Director: Dennis Møller

Muorra (Sápmi)

Muorra is a short film that takes you on a journey through the lands of Sápmi, where the raw power inherent in the areas is put to the fore. The contact between human and land has become less and less, and with this film Hætta wants to show that the link between the two is not as far away as one might think.

Director: Mihkkal Hætta

Baigal Nuur - Lake Baikal (Mongolia)

The formation of Lake Baikal in Siberia is reimagined with hand-painted animation and found objects, featuring the voice of an Indigenous woman who can still recall some words in her endangered Buryat language (a Mongolian dialect).

Directors: Alisi Telengut
