During this year’s Tromsø International Film Festival there was a premier of a whole new version of history’s first Sami feature film – Nils Gaups’s OFELAŠ/VEIVISEREN. Director Jakob Janssønn developed a completely new expression for the film classic. All dialogue and music from the original movie was removed, and new music that is to tell the story without dialogue was added. «I am immensely looking forward to showing our new interpretation of Sapmis first and greatest feature film at Riddu Riđđu! It was with great humility that I accepted the challenge from TIFF of creating new music for Veiviseren and especially nice it is that a Sea- Sami received the assignment» says Jakob Janssønn.

After the premier at Tromsø International Film Festival, Riddu Riđđu is the first place in Norway where the film concert is screened.
