Rockheim, Riddu Riđđu and Márkomeannu invite the public to a fun-filled evening featuring some of Sápmi’s strongest voices. The event is being organised in cooperation with Tråante 2017, the 100th anniversary of the Sámi’s first National Congress in Trondheim.

At the Riddu Riđđu festival, youth can join up in a great program to get access to workshops, activities and a lot of new friends. All youth 13 year or older are welcome to sign up. But hurry; there is a limit of 65 participants!

Are you struggling with a bad back? Get cold easily? Or are you just not keen on sleeping on the ground? Have no fear! This year you can rent a lavvu with camp beds during your stay at Riddu Riddu!

Travel diary from Taiwan trip with Riddu Riđđu – January 2016

Norway´s probably most charming live band, Violet Road, is coming home to play Riddu Riđđu this summer.

Ana Tijoux from Chile and Kitok and Slincraze from Sápmi are three frearless and not least politically engaged indigenous rappers. They are all ready for this years Riddu Riđđu festival.

South-American dream signing

Norther soul by Simone Grøtte and Herman Rundberg is about belonging and the love you carry for your homeland. This summer, along with a golden team of north Norwegian and Sami musicians, they will bring the audience at Riddu on a journey far within the north-Norwegian and Sami spirit.

True to tradition, the mountains in Kåfjord will yet again echo throat songs when Riddu Riđđu commences.

Last time they played the Riddu-stage they were young and promising, now they return as established artists.

The festival is outdoors. Bring clothes for all kinds of weather! You have to sleep at tentcamps, bring your own tent!

Some of our program requires reservation of tickets, this comes to film, yurtakonsert and theater. The reservation starts June 23 on our website.
This also includes sign up for courses and the children's festival.

Marja Helena Fjellheim Mortensson is the young artist of the year. She has just completed upper high school specialising in music and has already received Hedmark county’s cultural award.
