In collaboration with SpareBank 1 Nord-Norge´s Cultural Foundation, Riddu Riđđu Festival grants a scholarship 25 000 NOK to a young Sámi artist of the year during Riddu Riđđu Festival 12th to 16th of July.

The Karasjok band Felgen Orkester and Solju from the Finnish side of Sápmi has been confirmed this summer's Riddu Riđđu festival.

Nordlysseminar: Why are the Sami silent?  

A fantastic delegation of artists, activists and musicians will share knowledge, cultural activities and amazing art from their home place and their indigenous groups on Alaska.

OKA has cancelled their Europe- and Canada tour due to sickness, and will unfortunately not be playing in Gávoutna/Kåfjord this summer. The Greenlandic DJ Uyarakq will replace them.

Duolva Duottar will end this years Riddu Riđđu marking the Tråante jubilee and their pre-release of the new album «Tundra Sound».

Angel Haze has cancelled her upcoming performance at Riddu Riđđu festival  this summer. The cancellation has been out of our control. We are working on a replacement.

This year it is Radik Tyulyush, one of the world’s leading overtone singers, who will bring the audience on a musical journey through the Mongolian steps. 

Riddu Riđđu just announced their first artist for the 2017 line-up.

Rockheim, Riddu Riđđu and Márkomeannu invite the public to a fun-filled evening featuring some of Sápmi’s strongest voices. The event is being organised in cooperation with Tråante 2017, the 100th anniversary of the Sámi’s first National Congress in Trondheim.

At the Riddu Riđđu festival, youth can join up in a great program to get access to workshops, activities and a lot of new friends. All youth 13 year or older are welcome to sign up. But hurry; there is a limit of 65 participants!

Are you struggling with a bad back? Get cold easily? Or are you just not keen on sleeping on the ground? Have no fear! This year you can rent a lavvu with camp beds during your stay at Riddu Riddu!
