Would you like to learn more about yoik? Attend our yoik class!
This is a practical class, where the main focus is practicing different yoiks. As part of the class you will be served campfire coffee, and get to know some Sámi words and stories.
No prior knowledge is required - the workshop is suitable for everyone. As part of the class you will get to know yoik better, and learn different types of yoik, including person, animal and landscape yoiks. Perhaps you yourself will be inspired to make a yoik?
The instructor: teacher and yoiker Berit Alette Mienna.
This is a two-day class, running Thursday July 10th and Friday July 11th, both days from 11AM to 3PM.
