Sámi myths and stories represent a treasure trove of inspiration for aspiring filmmakers and innovative storytellers. Now more then ever Sápmi is eager to share these stories, and the world seems to be ready to listen. This new international attention nevertheless presents some internal challenges. How do we avoid misrepresentation and appropriation? Who’s opinion is relavant in that discussion? Do you have to be Sami to tell a sami story, and who is enough Sami to do so?
