Lávre unveils his new EP!

 Lávre is a Sámi artist, joiker and singer-songwriter from Guovdageaidnu on the Norwegian side of Sápmi. His music is deeply rooted in the Sámi joik tradition, over the yars he has performed on stages both in Sápmi and internationally. Now he returns to Riddu Riđđu, this time in a new format.  

This year, Lávre releases Šaddogárdi, a collection of soft songs presented in a stripped-down setting. Blending traditional joik melodies with Sámi indie folk and what he himself describes as  “a kind of garden pop.” The result is a musical fruit garden of love songs and joiks about hope, loss and recovering parts of oneself. 

At Riddu Riđđu, Lávre performs in the culture hall together with pianist and producer Eirik Fjelde, and guitarist Kristian S. Olstad, creating a personal, stripped-down concert experience, where the music is allowed to breathe.
