Art-in-progress: Riebansilba geriljá
Riddu siida
Art
The name “Riebansilba geriljá”, could be translated to “mica guerilla”. Mica is a mineral that has been used in the decoration of Sámi clothes in the coastal areas of Nordland, Troms and Western Finnmark since the 1700s. This is a fragile tradition. Riebansilba geriljá will install an artwork at the festival site as an art-in-progress. The audience is invited to observe the work.
Riebansilba geriljá is made by artists Mathis Nango and Siri Mari Vitalis Larsen.
