Camping

The festival is outdoors and we encourage you to bring clothes for all kinds of weather. Note that there are no hotels in the area. We are pleased to offer free accommodation on our tentcamps. No need to book in advance.

TentCamps: 

We have a festival camp (18 years+) and a familiy camp. Our familiy camp is great for families or people looking for a quieter atmosphere. The campground is a short walk from the festival grounds. 

  • Open Wednesday–Sunday during the festival week
  • Bring your own tent.
  • There are toilets and water on both campsites.
  • Camping is free on our campsites!
  • Bonfires are allowed on all camps - please follow provided fire instructions.
  • Safety: You must keep a distance of 3 meters from other tents. For motorhomes, the required distance is 4 meters.
  • Quiet in the family camp at 23:00. Partying is not allowed in the family camp
  • It is not allowed to bring animals / pets to the festival area or the festivalcamp. Pets are allowed at the family camp.
  • Show consideration for your camp neighbors and the rest of Manndalen: aggregate / large music systems at the festival camp are NOT allowed. Violations of this regulation may lead to expulsion from the festival.
  • It is not permitted to sleep in your car in the parking lot. The parking lot is closed at night. Opening hours: 10:00–01:00.

 

Vans/caravan: 

  • Limited parking for caravans at our festivalparking. No pre-booking. Price: 600 NOK. Electricity is not included.
  • Free parking at the family camp.
  • There is no electricity available, water and toilets available.
  • Safety: You must keep a distance of 4 meters from other vans/caravans. tents.
  • Løkvollstranda camping (tel. +47 46781933) offers caravan parking with electricity and a service house. 

Indoor accommodation near the festival area: 

If anything should happen, security can be contacted at tel.: +47 40 17 60 50.
In case of an emergency, call the emergency numbers: 113 (ambulance), 112 (police), or 110 (fire).

Registrations / Tickets: 

Some parts of the program requires that you register in advance to ensure entrance/seating. Participation is included in the festival ticket.

Riddu Nuorat og Mánáidfestivála require that you register in advance.

The rest of the program, including Yurt concerts, tea-ceremonies, film and seminars are first come, first serve.

Shower

The basement of the Center for Northern Peoples offer modest shower facilities.

  • Wednesday - Saturday: 10:00-13:00 and 17:00-21:00.
  • Sunday: 10:00-14:00.
  • Shower ticket: 20,- (cash or Vipps). Volunteers shower for free.
Bracelets

You need a festival bracelet to access the festival area.

Food

At the festival grounds, food will be available for purchase from Thursday to Sunday between 09:00 and 01:00.
In Løkvoll, 2 km from the festival grounds, there are grocery stores open daily from 08:00 to 22:00 (Saturday: 08:00 to 21:00).

Age limits
  • The festival area from 00:00: 15 years of age
  • Háše duohken bar: 18 years of age
  • Báldalávvu from 00:30: 18 year of age
  • Festival Camp: 18-years of age  
  • Family camp: no age limit
Payment

We prefer card payment.

Animals - pets

It is not allowed to bring animals / pets to the festivalarea or the festivalcamp. Pets are allowed at the family camp. But remember to pay attention to other guests at the family camp and we assume that your animal have good welfare even if you are participating at the festivalarea. 

Parking

We offer car parking in close proximity to the festival grounds. Parking costs 75 NOK and must be paid upon every entry. Overnight stays in parked cars are only allowed at the caravan camp, and is subject to separate pricing (see separate info about camping).

Water

We recommend you to not drink water from the river. It can be polluted. We have several water stations at the festival area, bring your own bottle and fill it up with fresh and free water! 

Other

Flying drones is prohibited throughout the entire festival area, including the family campsite.
