"We didn't cross the border. The border crossed us” is a slam poetry show by Ánná Káisá Partapuoli. She comments and discusses elements in and outside the Sami society, in the Torne Sami dialect. Reindeer herding and the loss of land rights for young reindeer herders is her focal point. Riddu Sessions 2019 is to provide an historical context but is also looking towards the future with a clear political message about decolonizing. Partapuoli have cooperated with video producer Per Josef to create this show.
