Majority communities view on indigenous peoples are often based on stereotypes and prejudice. In this commissioned piece, we let three young indigenous artists from Sápmi and Canada, tell their stories, on their own premise.
Contributors are Hilda Länsman, joiker from Utsjok, throat singer Alexia Galloway-Alainga from Nunavut and music producer Mio Negga from Umeå. Together, the artists will explore and make new music with a modern expression, based on joik and throat singing.
