Small Time Giants
It may sound surprising, but Greenland has a surprisingly vital and varied rock scene. One of the spearheads is Small Time Giants from Qaqortoq in the south of Greenland. The band delivers epic rock with a big soundscape that can both remind you of domestic heroes like Pil & Bue, but also has clear features in common with international giants like U2, Placebo and Coldplay.
Since the band was formed in 2011, they have used their time well to hold dozens of concerts both at home in Greenland and elsewhere in the world, and have developed into a formidable live band that is guaranteed to create a great atmosphere on the Riddu plain this summer.
The band's latest release is Formed by Mistakes from 2020, an LP that has also received good reviews in the domestic media.
