Balam Ajpu is a hip-hop collective that use music to show that the Mayan language, culture and knowledge is still alive and relevant to the modern world. Balam Ajpu mixes sounds from nature, such as running water and birdsong, with modern beats and hip-hop rhymes on three different Mayan languages.
