Aysanabee
We are thrilled to welcome the award-winning artist Aysanabee, who will be coming to the Riddu stage for the first time in 2025.
Aysanabee is a multi-instrumentalist, producer and songwriter, known for his unique and powerful vocals. In an elegant combination of indie, soul and electronic sounds, he creates a mesmerizing and melodious soundscape. He is Oji-Cree, Sucker Clan of the Sandy Lake First Nation, and through his music he shares personal life experiences, stories and generational traumas.
In a short time, Aysanabee has established himself as a renowned artist and made history by becoming the first indigenous artist to win the JUNO Awards for Alternative Album of the Year and Songwriter of the Year in 2024, with the critically acclaimed album Here and Now.
Aysanabee has performed over 300 concerts on major stages, festivals and venues across Canada and globally. Now he is on an extensive tour, which includes the main stage at Riddu Riđđu.
His presence on stage and his voice are something you don't want to miss - we promise goosebumps on the Riddu plain!
During the Riddu Riđđu festival, he will take the main stage as one of the representatives of the Northern People of the Year which is nêhiyawak (Cree).
