MEMORY OF WATER AN OPEN CASTING call
BUFO film company is looking for actors in a movie named Memory of Water. This is a film adaptation by Emmi Itäranta's novel Memory of Water. The film is directed by Saara Saarela,
Several Nordic languages will be spoken in the film (Finnish, Norwegian, Saami, Swedish, Danish ...), but mainly it is Finnish. At the moment, however, we are searching for all the languages and making choices of the spoken language according to the performers. However, it would be important that these major Actors would speak in addition to the Saami, Norwegian, Swedish, Finnish and preferably English (for communication reasons).
Primarily we are looking for:
1. NORIA (protagonist) n 19-24 In the story, a child of a better family, well-educated. Norialla has far roots from father in Japan (Asia), but it does not have much to show. Noria takes care of the state of the world. First of all, it seems ferocious, but finds the courage to defend what it feels right. He does not deny his principles.
2. SANJA (key person) n 19-24v. Norway's oldest man, a more work-intensive family. Orp, take care of her little sister from Minja (n5v). Sanja is boyish, outspoken and blubbery. Handy hand, fixes the villagers' goods to work.
3. NORIAS FATHER IS 40-50v male. Minor and silent reflection than carved wood. The father leaves his work as tea master reluctantly to his daughter because of the dangerous secret that the father has had to bear all his life. And it has left a mark on it.
