Lubna Jaffery Cancels Attendance at Riddu Riđđu Opening

Minister of Culture and Equality Lubna Jaffery has cancelled her attendance at the opening of Riddu Riđđu. The Minister has informed us that she must instead be present at Norway’s World Cup match against England on Saturday.

The opening ceremony will go ahead as planned and marks the start of the anniversary festival, which this year celebrates 35 years as one of the world’s most important meeting places for Indigenous art and culture.

The programme will include speeches and an exclusive preview of this year’s commissioned work, Juxta Paganos.

We look forward to welcoming the audience to the opening and to five days of concerts, performing arts, literature, seminars, film, art exhibitions, courses and activities in Manndalen.

Welcome to the celebration!
