Felgen Orkester and Solju are confirmed to Riddu Riđđu 2018

The Karasjok band Felgen Orkester and Solju from the Finnish side of Sápmi has been confirmed this summer's Riddu Riđđu festival.

Popular bookings

Felgen Orkester is one of Sapmis most popular bands, and in addition to a concert on the main stage, they will round up the children's festival in 2018.

Felgen Orkester is a popular band that knows how to create a good mood and get the crowd in on sing-alongs to their catchy tunes. The band was recently A-Listed on National Radio in Finland and has a wide-ranging appeal among all age groups. In 2018, they will also perform an acoustic intimate concert during the Children's Festival daytime program which will certainly be a happening.

The Karasjok band released their second album last year titled Duhát jági geahčen. Felgen Orkester sings consistently in North Sami, and delivers cheerful and melodious melodies in the pop / rock genre.

Exciting new duo

Solju is confirmed to the 2018 line-up. They hail from the Finnish side of Sápmi and consist of Ulla Pirttijärvi-Länsman and Hilda Länsman, who we dare to say is Sápmis most exciting mother-daughter constellation at the moment. Solju will release their first album in spring 2018, which is an exciting balance between Sami music traditions and modern expressions.

They are joined by the experimental percussionist Teho Majamäki and keyboard player Janne Puurtinen. We are very excited to present this new musical collaboration as part of our 2018 line-up.
