This year's young artist is the 25 year old artist Inga-Wiktoria Påve. She has grown up in a reindeer herding family in Lannavaara, Kiruna munici- pality in Sweden and is a graduate of Gotland Art School. Now she is studying art pedagogy at the University of Umea. She prefers working with brush and pencil and have since an early age been inspired by ancient sagas and legends, which reflects her motives. In collaboration with the Cultural Business Development Foundation SpareBank 1 Nord-Norge this year's young artist is awarded a stipend of NOK 25,000.
