This year's Mánáidfestivála opens with a family concert wednesday 10th of July at 2:00 pm.

Everyone is welcome, it's free and open to everyone.

You can also register the children for the Riddu Riđđu Mánáidfestivála, which starts the following day, Thursday 11th of July and ends on Friday 12th of July at 3:30 pm.

Children between the ages of 3 and 10 years can try out a number of activities where both parents and children can learn to joik and use sami words and expressions. The group between the ages of 11 and 13 years is offered a separate program with activities adapted to the slightly older children. The activites on 13th og 14th of July last fra 10:00 am to 3:30 pm, only interrupted by a lunch break at 12:30 pm. All children will reiceive lunch and a t-shirt. 

Riddu Riđđu encourage parents to be actively involved in the programme. We emphasize the use of sami language in the implementation of the festival. Some of the activities will take place only in sami, and some of the activities in Norwegian with emphasis on the use of words and expressions in sami. When registering, it would be nice if you state which languages your child speaks so that we can put the groups together in terms of age and language.

This years activities include: Getting to know each other - Riddu dance, stockfish banging, Mask dance, braiding course, rebus, make a mask, joik and setting up lávvu. 

Parents/guardians with children under school age who have a valid festival ticket for child(ren) are allowed into the area without their own ticket.
