How can art impact politics and society? How have Sámi artists shaped global histories of public art? What can happen when Sámi perspectives get real visibility in Norway’s political center?  

Meet artist Outi Pieski and senior curator at KORO Drew Snyder in conversation about Pieski’s monumental work AAhkA in the new Government Quarter in Oslo. They will reflect on the process of realizing the work over the last four years, and on what meanings the work can carry for current and coming generations.   

On the occasion of Riddu Riđđu Festivála, Pieski's original hand drawn sketch for AAhkA will be on display at Davvi álbmogiid guovddáš.
