Riddu Riđđu launches new concept: Lávvosáhka – to get even closer
If you have taken a look at Riddu Riđđu's program for 2023, you may have noticed something new: namely the conversation series Lávvosáhka, simply translated to The conversation in the lávvu. The Lávvosáhka conversations will take place in the Bálddalávvus, and their purpose is to move away from western models of discussion, and return to informal conversation. The stage will be moved away, and the distinction between audience and panelists will not be as defined. In this way, we want to open the space for spontaneous feelings and thoughts that may arise from everyone present!
- I hope the audience will feel an extra sense of security in the Bálddalávvus this year, and that with that security we dare to go further into the painful conversations, and together find solutions to the big and burning questions in our society. Riddu Riđđu is already a safe arena for the exchange of opinions in Sápmi, now we will continue to protect that in new ways, says festival director Sajje Solbakk.
These are the Lávvosáhka talks this year:
Friday 14th of july:
12PM Lávvosáhka: Is Sámi religion a relic of the past?
2PM Lávvosáhka: Is art our strongest weapon?
