Literature: Sollaug Sárgon and Undersang with Gerd Mikalsen and Elina Waage Mikalsen

UNDERSANG is a performative reading and listening session based on Elina Waage Mikalsen's dissertation. Together, they created a project based on their own voice, field recordings and self-built instruments along with stories from the underworld and encounters with huldra. On Riddu Riđđu they present an alternative version of the sound work, where the audience get to hear parts of the sound work together with a reading of the texts Gerd Mikalsen wrote.

Elina Waage Mikalsen is an artist and musician from Tromsø. She completed her master's degree in the spring of 2021 in
visual art at the Academy of Fine Arts in Oslo. In 2015, she was the young artist of the year at Riddu Riđđu.

Gerd Mikalsen is an author from Manndalen who in 2016 published the book Farsmålet at Gollegiella publishing house.

Sollaug Sárgon is a Sámi author from Guovdageaidnu / Kautokeino. Sárgon writes in Northern Sámi and has published two collections of poems. 

Language spoken is: Northern Sámi and Norwegian.
